If you’re planning a trip to the Valencia region, you’re in for a diverse and exciting experience that goes far beyond the city of Valencia itself. This region is a treasure trove of beautiful beaches, charming towns, and rich history.
Of course, you can’t visit the region without trying the local food. The paella here is unbeatable, and the fresh seafood along the coast is simply delicious. We found the local markets, like the one in Valencia itself, to be great places to sample regional specialties and mingle with locals.
Absolutely. The Valencia region has some of the best beaches we’ve visited. The Costa Blanca, in particular, has golden sands and clear waters that are perfect for a beach day.
The food here is fantastic, especially if you love Mediterranean cuisine. We couldn’t get enough of paella, which is a must-try. The food is simple, flavorful, and a big part of the region’s charm.
We found spring and fall to be the best times to visit. The weather is warm but not too hot, and it’s less crowded than in the summer. We visited both in the fall and spring and enjoyed comfortable temperatures, making it perfect for both beach days and exploring towns.
Having a car makes it much easier to explore the Valencia region, especially when visiting smaller towns like Xàtiva and Altea. Public transport is good in the larger cities, but a car gives you the freedom to visit more off-the-beaten-path locations and enjoy the scenic drives along the coast.
