If you’re planning to visit Catalonia, get ready for a trip full of vibrant culture, history, and stunning landscapes. Barcelona is a must-see, with its unique architecture and lively atmosphere. Don’t miss the Sagrada Família and take some time to explore the Gothic Quarter.
We were amazed by the beauty of the Costa Brava, where the coastal views and charming towns like Cadaqués left a lasting impression. Montserrat is another highlight, offering breathtaking mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere.
Catalonia is a wonderful mix of exciting cities, beautiful coastlines, and scenic mountains. We’re sure you’ll enjoy every moment of it!
Absolutely! While Barcelona is amazing, the Costa Brava has stunning coastal towns like Cadaqués, which we loved for its beautiful views and peaceful vibe. Montserrat is also worth a visit for its incredible mountain scenery and the monastery.
In Barcelona, the Sagrada Família and Park Güell were highlights for us. But we also enjoyed the quieter spots like the Gothic Quarter. The Costa Brava’s coastal paths and charming towns, like Tossa de Mar, are great for a more relaxed day. Montserrat offers a different kind of experience with its dramatic mountain setting and spiritual feel.
We found that many people in the tourist areas of Catalonia speak English, especially in Barcelona. However, we also noticed that knowing a few basic phrases in Spanish or Catalan can be helpful and appreciated.
Catalonia can be as budget-friendly or as expensive as you make it. We found that Barcelona can be a bit pricey, especially in the popular tourist spots, but there are plenty of affordable options too. Outside of Barcelona, places like the Costa Dorada were more affordable, especially if you plan ahead.
