If you’re planning a trip to Andalusia, you’re in for a great experience with lots of culture, history, and beautiful places. Seville is a must-see, with its beautiful buildings and lively streets.
Cádiz will give you a feel of Andalusia’s coastal life and traditions. In Jerez, you can try the local sherry, which the area is famous for. Arcos de la Frontera is another spot worth visiting, with amazing views from its hilltop location.
Andalusia is a perfect place to explore if you enjoy historic cities, charming towns, and lovely landscapes. We’re sure you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.
From our experience, spring and fall are the best times to visit Andalusia. The weather is mild, making it comfortable to explore cities like Seville and Granada. We visited in the spring, and the orange blossoms in Seville made the city smell amazing. Summer can get very hot, especially in the inland cities, so be prepared if you visit then.
Yes, it’s pretty easy to get around without a car. While public transport is available, we found that driving around Andalusia gave us much more freedom. Having a car allows you to visit smaller towns like Arcos de la Frontera and explore at your own pace.
There are so many great places to see! For us, Seville’s Alcázar was unforgettable. Cádiz’s coastal vibe is also worth experiencing, and Jerez’s sherry bodegas are a unique treat. If you’re into scenic views, don’t miss Arcos de la Frontera. We loved walking through its narrow streets and taking in the views from the top.
The food in Andalusia is delicious and varied. We enjoyed trying tapas in Seville—our favorites were jamón ibérico and fried fish. In Jerez, we couldn’t resist pairing tapas with the local sherry. Cádiz is great for fresh seafood, especially fried fish. The food is simple but full of flavor, and there’s something for everyone.
